Cancellation & Refunds

1. Overview
This Cancellation and Refunds Policy applies to transactions processed through the RENTREDDY platform. It is important to understand that RENTREDDY acts strictly as a facilitator software. We do not hold rent payments, security deposits, or any funds related to the leasing agreement itself. All such funds are transferred directly to the Landlord or Property Manager's designated bank account via our payment gateway partners (e.g., Razorpay).
2. Rent Payments & Lease Fees
Because RENTREDDY is merely the payment conduit, we cannot issue refunds for rent, late fees, utilities, or security deposits once a transaction has been successfully processed and settled to the Landlord's account.
- Disputes: If you believe a rent payment was made in error, you must contact your Landlord or Property Manager directly to request a refund or credit toward future rent.
- Overpayments: Any overpayments must be reconciled directly with the Landlord.
- Processing Errors: In the rare event of a technical glitch where your account is charged but the transaction fails to reflect on the platform, our payment gateway partner will typically auto-refund the amount to your original payment method within 5-7 business days. If this does not occur, please contact support with your transaction ID.
3. Security Deposits
Security deposits are held exclusively by the Landlord. The return or "refund" of a security deposit upon lease termination is governed entirely by your lease agreement and applicable local laws. RENTREDDY does not arbitrate security deposit disputes or facilitate their return. You must coordinate the return of your deposit directly with your Landlord.
4. Platform Subscription Fees (For Landlords/Managers)
If you are a Landlord or Property Manager paying a subscription fee to use the RENTREDDY software suite:
- Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
- Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial subscription periods or unused features.
5. Chargebacks
Filing a fraudulent chargeback with your bank or credit card company for valid rent payments processed through RENTREDDY is a violation of our Terms of Service. Landlords reserve the right to contest chargebacks and pursue legal action or eviction for non-payment of rent resulting from unjustified chargebacks.
6. Contact for Payment Issues
For technical issues related to the payment gateway (e.g., double charges due to system errors), please contact our support team at support@rentreddy.com. For all other refund requests related to your tenancy, please contact your Landlord directly through the platform's messaging system.
